Okay, this must be one of the most awesome things ever – public (free!) man-made beaches and pools in the middle of a city!
We took a quick ferry boat across the river and spent a bit of time wandering around South Bank and the Streets Beach that overlooks the river in Brisbane, Australia.

We’re staying just a block or two away from the River Walk area
It’s the business district so rather busy during the week – not by the water though!
